This page explains what information we collect through this website and in the shop, and what we do with it. It's short because we don't do much with it.
What this website collects
We use Google Analytics. It records which pages you visit, roughly where you're located (from your IP address, at the city level), what device and browser you're using, how you arrived at the site, and whether you clicked a booking button. It does not tell us your name, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
You can decline analytics using the banner at the bottom of the page, or reopen that choice any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer. You can also install Google's browser opt-out add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings.
Booking appointments
Our online booking is handled by Tekmetric, a third-party shop management service. When you open the booking window and submit a request, the information you enter — your name, contact details, vehicle, and what you need done — goes to Tekmetric, and their privacy policy governs how they handle it. The booking tool loads on every page whether or not you accept analytics cookies, because it's what the Book Appointment button runs on.
Cookies we use
Google Analytics sets cookies beginning with _ga to recognize returning visitors. Your accept-or-decline choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not sent to us. The Tekmetric booking tool may set its own cookies on its own domain; we can't read or clear those.
We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels, session recording, or heatmap tools on this site.
Information you give us in the shop
When you bring a vehicle in, we keep the normal things a repair shop keeps: your contact information, your vehicle, the work performed, and the parts used. We use it to service your vehicle, contact you about your vehicle, and honor your warranty. Repair and warranty records are retained because our 3-year/36,000-mile warranty depends on them.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information. We don't rent or trade it. We don't share it with anyone except the service providers we need to run the business — our shop management software, our parts suppliers when ordering for your vehicle, and our warranty administrator when a warranty claim is filed.

If you want to know what we have, want it corrected, or want it deleted, call the shop at 208-994-6408 or email sales@luxautohause.com. Ask for Ken. Deletion requests are subject to records we're required to keep for warranty and tax purposes.

If we change how we handle any of this, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
